Fludarabine Phosphate Injection

Product Name: Fludarabine Phosphate Injection

Common Name: Fludarabine Phosphate

Strength: 50 mg/6 ml vial

Description:

Fludarabine Phosphate Injection is an antineoplastic agent used in the treatment of certain types of blood cancers. It belongs to the class of drugs known as purine analogs, which work by inhibiting DNA synthesis, thereby preventing the growth and multiplication of cancer cells. Fludarabine is commonly used in the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and other lymphoid malignancies. It is typically administered via intravenous infusion.

Fludarabine is cytotoxic to cancer cells, interfering with their DNA repair processes and leading to apoptosis (cell death). This makes it an effective option for treating cancers that involve rapid cellular proliferation.

Fludarabine Phosphate Injection is indicated for:

  1. Treatment of adult patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who have not responded to other treatment modalities.
  2. Treatment of indolent non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
