Description:
Lactobacillus sporogenes is a gram-positive, spore-forming probiotic that produces lactic acid. It supports the growth of beneficial bacteria and helps maintain a healthy balance of microflora in the intestinal environment. L. sporogenes does not require refrigeration to preserve its optimal potency.
Indications & Usage:
Lactobacillus sporogenes is well adapted to survive gastric acidity due to its spore-forming capability. The spore coat protects the bacteria from the low pH of the stomach and swells upon contact with gastric juices, allowing the spores to shed and germinate by the time they reach the intestine.
Intestinal Support: L. sporogenes enhances the levels of healthy microflora, thereby improving gastrointestinal ecology. It exclusively produces the L (+) form of lactic acid, which is fully metabolized by the body. As a semi-resident organism, continued supplementation is essential.
Healthy Lipid Metabolism: As L. sporogenes proliferates, it assimilates and incorporates cholesterol into its cellular structure, potentially supporting healthy lipid metabolism in humans.
