Lactobacillus rhamnosus is a short, Gram-positive, anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium that commonly occurs in chains. Certain strains of L. rhamnosus are utilized as probiotics and are especially effective in addressing female-related infections, particularly challenging cases of bacterial vaginosis.

Indications & Usage:

Lactobacillus rhamnosus is predominantly found in the healthy female genitourinary tract and is beneficial for restoring balance during dysbiotic bacterial overgrowth associated with active infections.

  1. Diarrhea: L. rhamnosus has been demonstrated to be effective in preventing rotavirus-induced diarrhea in children, as well as in the prevention and treatment of various types of diarrhea in both children and adults.
  2. Respiratory Tract Infections: L. rhamnosus may reduce the risk of respiratory tract infections in children attending daycare.
